Charlottesville Democrats Held Watch Party for Republican Debate

The Palmer Ridge High School teen was expecting about 20 people at his parent’s house Thursday night for a GOP presidential debate watch party.

The Albemarle County GOP says it is not hosting a watch party because its headquarters is under construction right now.

Early on brash, billionaire Donald Trump – who was center stage literally and figuratively because of his poll performance – was challenged about his sexist words about some women. “And I liked the comedy”, said Erika Minaberry, from Reno. “And so do republicans, but they come about it a different way with more personal responsibility”, said Neal.

At one time, he complained about getting little air time versus his fellow candidates. “I think the crowds automatically raise up around him“, said activist Carl Burton.

About two dozen people in Sioux City met at a private home to watch the debate together and talk about the upcoming presidential cycle.

Meanwhile the El Paso County Democratic Party – Peak Dems – held a watch party of their own for the “Nomination Circus”.

“I like a lot of what he’s saying I think he’s leading the debate, but I’m not sure he would be my final choice for president, but he is defiantly making it a lot more interesting than it would be”, Stalzer. But the Democrats are offering debate watching party kits that include GOP bingo cards, lapel pins and glassware – plus a prescribed agenda.
