Adele, who returned to the music scene in late 2015 after a three-year hiatus, continued: ‘I got really lost for a while and I didn’t know if I was ever going to come back.
According to Belfast Telegraph, Adele thanked her fans and Simon Konecki, her boyfriend and the father of her son saying, “I’m so lucky to have you love me the way you do and to support me”. I wish her continued success and many more albums for us to cry along with! “And to all the other girls that are nominated, thank you for letting me be in your company, you’re all incredible, you’re all unbelievable, and it’s a privilege to be alongside you”, Adele said. “She looked upset like it was all too much for her, ‘ while another source said the problem was simply that the club was ‘too busy” for the star. The highlight of her performance came during “Work”, when Drake joined her onstage.
While many viewers thought the incident – which took place after the watershed – was amusing, some audience members weren’t impressed with her language.
Coldplay, who opened the show with Hymn For The Weekend and won the award for British group, are at number five. Bowie’s band reunited for one last time to perform with New Zealand-born singer, Lorde; who Bowie had said would be the future of music. Oh we love some pyrotechnics.
The show also featured an emotional tribute to David Bowie, led by Annie Lennox and his friend Gary Oldman.
The singer, who won the award for International Male Solo Artist, was left furious following the uproar and he shortly left the club.
