Check Out the Trailer for the New Angelina Jolie / Brad Pitt Movie
By The Sea was an ambitious undertaking for Jolie Pitt, who not only directs and stars in the film, but also wrote the screenplay.
Was Angelina Jolie affected by the rumors that Brad Pitt wasn’t the one who first cheated on Jennifer Aniston?
The film is directed by Jolie and co-produced by the couple.
Angelina described the project as an “art film” and not what fans can usually expect to see her in.
This marks Jolie’s third outing as director after last year’s disappointing Unbroken, and at the very least, it’s nice to see her passion for the craft has refused to waver.
The 2 Wednesday earlier than the capturing of the film commenced, and the newlywed couple combined their work with pleasure and in addition celebrated their honeymoon in Malta, the place the movie was being shot.
Putting up at a attractive picturesque villa by the sea, the couple seem to be dealing with some grief as they sort through their problems with slaps and shouts, though hardly seeming to be able to stand each other.
“I chose to set By the Sea in the 1970s, not only because it is a colorful and alluring era, but because it removes numerous distractions of contemporary life and allows the focus to remain squarely on the emotions that the characters experience in their journey”, said Jolie in an interview with EW.
Clips show the two of them physically fighting one another with Roland telling Vanessa to “hurt” him. Jolie’s son Maddox, adopted from Cambodia in 2001, will serve as a production assistant on the film, to be based on Loung Ung’s memoir “First they Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers”. However, Jolie did confess that incorporating real life passion helped them to build such fascinating characters. “It was hardest [when] I was directing our fight scenes”, she said.
“We’re proud of ourselves for being fearless enough to try it”, she told DGA. By the Sea opens in theaters November. 13.
