Chelsea is looking for a replacement for Antonio Conte
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says “everything is possible” regarding his future at the club. In football now it’s very hard to predict if you can stay for many years in one club, especially now in England.
“He is learning to deal with these type of situations, and if we speak about Batshuayi we are at the same level”.
Chelsea are, thus, keeping their options open, with a number of managers being on the shortlist to replace Conte, the latest being compatriot Allegri.
Allegri is without question one of the best bosses working in the game today.
The future of the current Blues’ head coach has come under increasing speculation this season, as the relationship between the Italian and the club’s board have become strained over Chelsea’s transfer policy.
This is the view of Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport anyway, with the publication rocking the managerial sphere through claims that Allegri has in fact already agreed to make a summer switch from Turin to South-West London.
“I think they are done with Barkley”. As I said before I am always telling the same things.
Conte also made reference to the Portuguese wearing a shirt with the initials “CR” at a media conference in support of former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri when he had just been sacked. “I consider him a little man and I consider him a man with a very low profile”. This awoke something in Antonio Conte, and the club wasted no time in looking for another forward to add to their squad. “He used serious words”, Conte said.
With only 41 Premier League goals this season, Chelsea have scored less than any of their top-four rivals and lag 16 points behind leaders Manchester City.
There’s no doubt the oil rich club would see Mourinho or Conte as the high profile names to take them to the next level in the continent’s biggest competition.
Having been in charge at AC Milan he knows what it takes to manage amid great expectations and is committed to a brand of attacking football admired by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
