Chelsea: Jose Mourinho agrees new four-year deal with the Blues
Gomis had a goal ruled out for offside after his spot-kick, but Swansea had to settle for a point – which was the least they deserved for an impressive display as Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was unable celebrate signing a new four-year deal with a win.
In his first tenure from 2004 to 2007, the 52-year-old Mourinho led Chelsea to two league championships, one FA Cup crown and a pair of Football League Cups, a knockout competition involving teams from England and Wales.
“People were asking ‘are you sure he is 16?’ It was going to be a risk but he has got something”, Bilic said.
Mourinho was far less forthcoming on the penalty incident as he said: “I don’t comment about referees”.
Swansea were the better side in the second half before and after the sending off and had more overall opportunities to score, however, on balance, a draw would be a fair result as both teams played their part in an exciting season opener. Given that he just signed a four year contract extension, you might think he’d be a little more relaxed. You never have the same intensity as them.
The Blues will undoubtedly be aiming to retain their league crown this term while improving on their showing in the Champions League last season, which saw the club crash out at the last-16 stage.
There was no fairytale start to Bournemouth’s first ever season in the English top flight, though, as the team slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at its 11,700-capacity seaside stadium.
“I was unhappy with my medical staff. They were impulsive and naive”.
It’s the same type of injury that restricted his appearances throughout the last campaign and Jose Mourinho is unlikely to risk Costa’s health early.
“I’m not speaking about Everton or Stones”.
“If I could, I would speak with you (the media) once in a month”.
“I want to react this way so you don’t see he was (complaining) from day one”.
Szczesny, 25, sealed his season-long switch to the Serie A side last month following the arrival of Petr Cech at Arsenal, and the Poland goalkeeper is relishing his opportunity to play for the Giallorossi. The Director when the attack was developed by former Levinger Thierry Henry said Arsenal win the League if real player, “not as sporty as that of” but admitted the relentless scorer “important”.
It was one of very few chances in a scrappy match which Louis van Gaal’s new-look United started with four pre-season signings. I haven’t spoken to him yet.
