Chelsea Monitor Sergio Aguero as Striker’s Future at Manchester City Grows Uncertain
Knowing they needed a late push to earn a victor, Manchester City fought and were rewarded.
Gabriel Jesus scored twice, including an injury-time victor, as Manchester City moved up to third place in the Premier League after overcoming a battling Swansea City 2-1 at Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho is hoping there is a calmness surrounding his teammate Gabriel Jesus.
After EA Sports announced his inclusion in their One to Watch series, Jesus’ card is now being traded for prices between 500,000 and 600,000 coins.
Soooo… anyone got a few coins to spare?
– Man City’s victor was the 12th scored in the 90th minute this season – just one fewer than in the whole of 2015-16.
“In the second half they played more football and tried to attack, but after they scored they played like they did in the first half”.
With the Brazilian becoming the first choice for Pep Guardiola’s side in the last two games, speculation has grown over Aguero’s future at the club but he told reporters that he is ready to fight for his place.
Aguero is understandably not happy but I believe him when he says he will give everything for the team when he is needed for the rest of the season.
Little changed in the second half as City resumed with sustained possession but unlike the first half, they played with less urgency.
The 28-year-old already has 18 goals to his name this term but has scored just once in the league since the turn of the year and with Jesus proving an instant hit in the Premier League, Aguero may find opportunities much harder to come by.
This defeat to United, is their third loss at home in their last six games at the King Power stadium and they are yet to win an away tie so far this season.
“He is a guy in the box with an instinct to score goals”. Real Madrid would take him in the blink of an eye if they could.
“We can not forget he’s 19-years-old”. “Now he deserved to be in the team but we’ll see what happens in the next game”.
