Chelsea start negotiation to sign Ezequiel Garay
Chesea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are getting very excited about the news coming from Metro, with the publication claiming that Zenit St Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay is in talks with Chelsea about a potential transfer.
He has also worked under Jose Mourinho once before, with the Portuguese manager giving him only eight total appearances at Real Madrid, before allowing him to leave for Benfica at the end of their one season together.
With only a week left in the window, Chelsea are in a hurry to push though an agreement and are confident that they will be able to agree a deal for the 28-year-old defender.
Chelsea’s chase of Everton youngster John Stones has already been well documented, despite The Toffees insisting that he is not for sale (via The Guardian).

Spanish giants Valencia and Serie A runners-up Roma have also been linked with the central defender. Garay has capped Argentina 31 times till date since making his debut in 2007.
