Cherries boss Howe hails Wilshere influence
A name that will inevitably come up in the discussion is Jack Wilshere, who joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan to resurrect his flailing career.
Wilshere was not included in Sam Allardyce’s 23-man squad to take on Slovakia due to a lack of playing time.
This is not a case of Wilshere needing to play football, there are a lot of other players at Arsenal who need to play football.
Manchester United legend David Beckham had an influence on Jack Wilshere’s move to Bournemouth.
Wilshere made his debut for the Gunners in 2008, becoming the club’s youngest league player aged 16 and 256 days.
Interestingly, the move also presents him with an opportunity to prove his mettle in tough surroundings.
During the interview with Express, Ozil also revealed that contract renewal talks with Arsenal were back on track.
Allowing the spectre of a callback to Arsenal to hang over Wilshere’s time with Bournemouth would have been a disaster.
Scholes told Sky Sports News: “I would have liked to have seen him, if he did have to leave Arsenal, go to a big club like Roma. The number is right for me and my position as playmaker”.
Bournemouth brought Cummings on as a late substitute but the veteran defender was unable to find an equaliser as Wilshere was forced to taste defeat in his first match for the club.
Howe added: “Hopefully it will inspire us to be better coaches to our players and it will inspire the players onto another level”.
“We can give him a platform to deliver his very best. Our style of football will certainly help him”.
The England global completed a season-long switch to the Vitality Stadium on transfer deadline day in a bid to gain regular playing time in the Premier League, with Bournemouth fighting off interest from the likes of Crystal Palace and Roma to get the deal done.
