Media have speculated the post of secretary of state could be discussed.

Some of Romney’s closest advisers initially expressed surprise at the news that Trump and Romney would meet.

In 2012, Romney called Russian Federation “our number one geopolitical foe”, whereas Trump has said he would consider working more closely with Vladimir Putin.
