Chiefs crush Manning, Broncos 29-13

The Kansas City Chiefs absolutely thrashed the Denver Broncos on Sunday night at Sports Authority Field, winning 29-13. Three of those picks came before halftime, at which point, for the first time in his decorated career, the 39-year-old quarterback had a rating of 0.0 (which is what he ended with).

The Denver Broncos have one of the best, most aggressive defensive lines in the National Football League and quarterback Peyton Manning hasn’t had to put up the insane offensive production he has don dating back in 2013. It’s the biggest problem I have with the Broncos actually, that Denver isn’t committed to the run as much as they should be with Gary Kubiak as head coach.

So one bad game won’t tarnish Manning’s legacy. The Ravens (2-7) lost for just the second time in eight games following a bye week under coach John Harbaugh.

Officials halted the game after the pass, allowing teammates to congratulate Manning while a prepared tribute aired on the videoboard.

His performance, however, meant he could not add another record to the list.

“I think that’s an awkward situation to have any type of stoppage of play, in the middle of a game”, Manning said. Manning hoped to put together a strong contest to make for a memorable game; however, that was not the case right from the beginning.
