China Mobile: Samsung Galaxy S7 Will Be Released In March 2016
We’re not sure if this means the phone will be announced in March as well, or if the February announcement still holds true, but will see a March release instead. In recent weeks we’ve continued to hear more and more about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7, but this weekend China Mobile may have revealed its release date.
Particularly, Samsung Galaxy S7 release date appears to be set for March 2016, according to China Mobile, one of the top Chinese carriers, as reported by G For Games.
Rumors have also been swirling for some time that the actual announcement of the Galaxy S7 release date will come on the sidelines of the big Mobile World Conference in Barcelona in February, and the latest news from China Mobile confirms that the devices will actually be available to the public some time in March.
Aside from the alleged release and pricing details for Samsung Galaxy S7, it looks like China Mobile also revealed its plans for other upcoming smartphones such as the Huawei P9 and Samsung’s two other new devices from the A lineup, the A7 and A9, during its year-end event. However, no Galaxy S7 was mentioned in the invite, which quickly shut down rumors that have been circulating about the smartphone’s launch. However Samsung looks to improve the camera, display, return the micro-SD card for users to expand storage, and use a USB Type-C port rather than the traditional micro-USB for charging and syncing.
We can already paint quite a descriptive picture of the Samsung Galaxy S7, specs and all. This same information was leaked from the Korean Times as well, giving these rumors even more weight. To recap, if you were to buy or lease one of a select few Samsung Galaxy Smartphones from Sprint, you would get a free 32-inch LED HD TV thrown in for nothing. The new phone is also expected to pack plenty of high-end hardware, including a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor, an upgraded camera, and 4GB of RAM. These phones are stacking up to be some of the best phones available in early 2016, and they could arrive earlier than any of the competition.
Since the CES and MWC 2016 are just around the corner, it is likely that Samsung will start providing more teasers about the devices that will be featured. Stay tuned for more details.
