Chinese Nationals killed in crash with Dallas Cowboys bus
The Cowboys bus and its driver were not at fault in a weekend collision in Arizona that left four people dead, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said Tuesday. There were no serious injuries among the people on the Cowboys bus. Two of the passengers were 52-year-old females and the third passenger was a 19-year-old female, the release says.
The victims were visiting Chinese nationals, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. No players were among the Cowboys personnel on the bus.
“We get a lot of worldwide tourists, and they’re either unfamiliar with our laws here… or in so much of hurry going through the desert seeing horses and cattle…they fail to really pay attention”, said one man who lives by the unsafe intersection.
Mickey Spagnola, a columnist for the team’s website, has been writing for the past week about traveling on a Cowboys bus with a driver, the team mascot and videographer.
Authorities say a van failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign before colliding with a Dallas Cowboys staff bus along an Arizona highway.
Additional information on the crash about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Kingman was not immediately available. The bus was on its way to Las Vegas for a fan event when it collided with the van. It was on a tour of different cities on the way from Dallas to the Cowboys training camp in California.
