Chinese New Year brings bounty of dining specials, celebrations

Every year the city welcomes in the Chinese New Year with a big celebration in the city centre, which includes the traditional lion and dragon dance performed by students from the UK Choi Lee Fut Kung Fu Dragon and Lion Association.
February 8-15, Ming Place will feature specially-priced Chinese New Year tasting menus for parties of 4 ($46.88), 6 ($76.88), or 8 ($88.88) that include selections such as crispy Peking duck, spicy boiled fish, ham hock, beef noodle soup, and fried bok choy.
