Chris Brown Arrives in China after 3 Day Delay in Philippines
Brown also played a show in Macau on Friday evening. This is after Brown’s extended three-day stay in Manila following a fraud complaint filed against him following his Mall of Asia Arena concert on Tuesday.
The dispute arose after the Maligaya Development Corp accused Chris and promoter John Michael Pio Roda of cancelling a concert last New Year’s Eve (31.12.14) after being paid in full for a $1 million contract. I love y’all, man. If you can come to Macau, party tonight!
He posted a video to his Instagram account begging authorities to allow him to leave the country.
Brown’s gold-plated teeth shimmered in the two videos taken on the backseat of his limousine and in his Macau hotel room. The organizers said they were told at the time that Brown lost his passport and couldn’t make the concert.
During the delay, Brown missed a concert in Hong Kong that has not yet been rescheduled.
“Pio Roda will have to remain in BI custody until his deportation case is resolved”, said immigration spokeswoman Elaine Tan.
Manila (dpa) – Philippine immigration agents arrested the Canadian promoter of singer Chris Brown, accusing him of violating immigration rules, according to a statement Saturday.
The deportation proceedings are separate from the criminal complaint filed at the justice department, which will determine whether charges will be filed in court, she said.
Justice department officials did not return calls seeking comment on the status of the criminal complaint against Brown.
Brown’s ordeal nearly cost him his world tour, which includes stops in Israel, Cyprus and the Netherlands.
