Chris Brown forced to postpone show after Japanese visa is denied
A statement on the ticket vendor’s website confirmed that Brown’s Japan shows had been postponed due to a “logistical Visa issue”, with refunds available to fans. The rapper is reportedly being forced to CANCEL his upcoming Japan shows because of the recent incident with Baylee Curran, which is now under investigation by the LAPD. A rep for the singer did not immediately respond to Billboard’s request for comment.
This resulted in a well publicized standoff between Brown and Police that took hours.
Chris was most recently denied a visa to tour in Australia in December (15) due to his assault conviction for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Curran, 24, told The News at the time that Brown had pointed a firearm at her and told her to “get the f-k out of the house” after she admired a necklace during a party at his house.
The singer was booked on the felony charge and later released on $250,000 bail.
Earlier this month, Baylee made allegations that the 27-year-old R&B singer pulled out a gun and threatened her for “admiring” a piece of jewelry. Brown’s legal team also believe that the allegations are being drawn out because of a lack of proof, with his lawyer Mark Geragos stating no “firearms nor the crucial piece of jewellery described in the accuser’s report” were found at the scene.
Brown was arrested on August 30, his arraignment court date was subsequently set for Tuesday September 20. Available in black or white, the front reads “This B!tch Lyin'” while the back has a picture of a young cartoon blonde woman crying.
