Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston delight fans at children’s hospital
Hemsworth captioned an Instagram photo with one fearless kid handily defeating Loki.
Hemsworth and Hiddleston are joined in Thor: Ragnarok by Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Sir Anthony Hopkins again portraying Odin.
The on-screen brothers and mortal frenemies took time out from shooting Thor: Ragnarok in Australia to visit sick kids at the Lady Cliento Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane. “Met the real superheroes of the world”.
Wait, is that Loki getting knocked over the head by one of the kids? “They’re the real heroes”, Hiddleston wrote on his newly minted Instagram, which features more Loki outtakes than the Englishman’s daily life.
As it turns out, Hemsworth was so touched by the experience he returned to the hospital on Wednesday for a second visit. It’s not Hiddleston’s first trip, as he visited the same hospital with Taylor Swift last month.
The hospital has a weekly show put together by some of the kids called Juiced TV, which gave one lucky kid the chance to interview the co-stars.
They dressed as their character’s Thor and Loki, and arrived at lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, much to the delight of the kids.
When they’re not selling out movie theaters and concert venues, kindhearted celebrities often use their off-time to connect with those in need of their inspiration.
