Chris Pratt and Anna Faris on Those Difficult First Days of Their Son
Chris Pratt and his wife Anna Faris revealed in an interview with GQ for the Dec.2014 issue that they were completely heartbroken when they were told that their son could be a “special needs child”. Jack, born 9 weeks premature, weighed just 3 pounds. Soon after his birth Jack had to spend almost a month in the NICU followed by a hernia surgery.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star met Anna Faris in 2007 on the set of romantic comedy Take Me Home Tonight and they married two years later in 2009. Faris, 37, and Pratt, 35 welcomed Jack in August 2012, but were devastated when they learnt that they could face challenging times ahead. The couple remained positive and are happy that Jack has no developmental issues apart from having to wear glasses. He is healthy and ready to attend a preschool.
The Parks and Recreation star also revealed in a recent interview that Jack is now developing his likes and dislikes and that he converses. He is also fond of monster trucks and everything related to construction. Jack surprisingly loves vegetables particularly broccoli and cherry tomatoes.
The couple revealed that they prayed a lot during the tough times and the experience restored their faith in God. Pratt said that fatherhood has changed is priorities. Even though their careers are still top in the list, their son is the most important priority.
Earlier this year in Jan, Pratt missed the 41st People’s Choice Awards that Faris co-hosted with her Mom co-star Allison Janney. Reportedly, Pratt was absent from the event because of Jack’s eye surgery.
Recently, at the March of Dimes’ Celebration of Babies event, Pratt told that although he has done all sorts of cool things as an actor, nothing comes close to being a father.
We wish a very healthy and happy life to little Jack and a very happy family life to the couple with their son.
