Chris Young on Being Dragged Into Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert Split: ‘Man

Country singer Chris Young since denying accusations of being responsible for the divorce of singers’ Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton has revealed in an interview, the awkward position the rumours have place him in with the stars who are his friends.

As people searched for answers on why the two split, tabloids reported that Young and Lambert were having an affair. “It’s just so weird getting pulled into something like that where it just wasn’t true”, he said.

Claiming that even Shelton, 39, laughed off the rumours, the “Lonely Eyes” hit-maker added that he was in touch with him throughout the day when the news broke and even apologised several times for what the singer had to go through.

While Chris hasn’t seen Blake or Miranda since their divorce, he has texted and talked on the phone with both of them. “As good as you can be”, he told “ET“.

“I was in touch with Blake all day that day”.

Chris has been a friend of the couple for some time, and thus found the reports surprising.

Lambert isn’t the only one who stands accused of cheating.

According to Shelton’s attorneys, the story is completely fabricated and is fueled by Groves’ “infatuation” with the singer.

Both of the country superstars-who announced they were divorcing after four years of marriage and 10 years as a couple last month, took to social media over the weekend to share images which seem to show them both happy and in a good state, despite their marriage ending. “This is not the future we envisioned”, they said. “Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter”.
