Chrissy Teigen breaks her silence about her pregnancy!

During an episode of FABlife, the expecting mother got candid about the anticipation of welcoming her first child with John Legend – news she announced last week.

“It’s hard keeping a secret and I gotta thank all of you”, the pregnant cookbook author told her co-hosts.

“Even the sound guys [sound technicians] could hear me throwing up back stage!” she said.

Teigen announced the baby news on earlier this month via Instagram, writing, “John [Legend] and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant”. After all, a few weeks prior to her announcement, her and Banks had an emotional conversation about their struggles with fertility. “It looks so natural, but I won’t show you how much staging went behind it – it was a lot!” Not only did Chrissy mix two luxe fabrics when she stepped out with John Legend for the CFDA/Vogue Fund Fashion Show, but she also worked two shades of red and a trendy leather belt. After receiving negative comments of her baby bump pic, she tweeted, “No more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!!”

“I did IVF”, the “FABLife” host pointed out. Get out of my uterus!

A source confirms to PEOPLE that like many moms, Teigen had “morning sickness pretty much every day and has had to take breaks”.

The couple’s sweet announcement – a black-and-white Instagram – “I love”, Teigen says in the FABLife clip. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re really different in a lot of ways, but whatever it is about our chemistry, it matches up really well. You just have to be committed to making it work.
