Chrissy Teigen on Breastfeeding: I Feel Like a Cow!

“That wasn’t something that I thought would happen”, she admitted. Though people lashed out on social media about Teigen and Legend’s date night after Luna was born, Teigen brushed it off by saying, “It was about nine to 10 days after, or something, so, I mean, we needed a break”.

It has been almost a month since Chrissy Teigen defiantly went out to dinner with her husband, John Legend, one time even though they are parents now. The 37-year-old singer last released Love in the Future in 2013, while Teigen co-hosts Spike TV series Lip Sync Battle.

I confessed to her that I don’t actually cook, so I needed the most idiot-proof recipe she has. The couple are focused instead on enjoying their time as a family and celebrated Teigen’s first Mother’s Day on May 8.

As a new mom, she has been under the world’s gaze as she’s publicly chronicled new motherhood on her Instagram feed. “It’s supposed to have this overwhelming pepper flavor”, she said. Teigen experienced criticism at almost every turn during her pregnancy, which is something that she can’t quite comprehend.

John Legend defended the mother of his newborn daughter on Twitter, and also pointed out an inherent double standard for new moms that doesn’t affect new dads the same way.

“I’ve made this decision”, she told People magazine in February.

“He had my back with that one, so thank you John”, Teigen said.

Teigen tweeted some of the comments she received after the incident, with Legend firing back. It’s an idea she still feels passionately about today.

“He doesn’t really know how to sing to babies”, says Teigen. “I don’t think I let anyone watch my child without me til a month or two”. When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all. “But you’ll never have the right answer and you’ll never be right to everybody, so you just live and do what you can do best”.
