Christian Grey returns in steamy ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ spot

At the end of Fifty Shades of Grey, Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) seemingly walked out of Christian Grey’s (Jamie Dornan) life forever without so much as a “laters, baby”. That shot of Dornan is the kind of self-aware moment that some Fifty Shades of Grey fans definitely appreciate. A similar theme was featured in a brief, 20-second teaser for the Darker trailer, this time with Anastasia sporting a mask.

According to ABC News, the trailer is released in advance of the full teaser trailer. If you’re a good girl, that is.

The second movie sees House of Cards’ James Foley taking over as director from Sam Taylor-Johnson who adapted the original novel.

The book series and film are known for delving into the world of BDSM lifestyle, aka submissive and dominant role playing during sex.

The first movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, raked in a cool $571 million (R8,24 billion) at the box office in 201. In the brand-new Fifty Shades Darker trailer, Christian pleads for her to come back, even letting her renegotiate the rules.

There’s also this poster, featuring the incredible tagline, “Slip into something a shade darker”.

The sequel, which was filmed in tandem with the third instalment Fifty Shades Freed, is due to hit cinemas on February 10, 2017 – just in time for Valentine’s Day. The screenplay was written by Niall Leonard. Ex-lovers will pop in and reveal a few more shades of Grey.

The movie, based on the series by author E.L. James, won’t be in theaters until February 10, 2017.
