Christie slams Rubio as ‘boy in the bubble’

“I like to have as much fun as anybody … but there’s nothing, nothing humorous about who’s going to be the next president of the United States”, Christie said. “I can say I don’t know once, but I can’t say it twice”.

In the Des Moines debate, Christie said it was time for the Clintons to get out of “public housing”, meaning the White House. “We’re all angry about what’s going on in Washington, and you deserve to be, but you need someone who is going to be able to rebuild the place, not just burn it down”. He went to extremes to please Iowa’s conservative voters, including issuing a controversial veto of a bill from New Jersey Democrats to ban small crates for pregnant pigs that are considered inhumane.
Polls show the Vermont senator leading Clinton in New Hampshire. Reid asks. “They say to try the side door because that’s what people use”.
“I feel a little more aggression in New Hampshire, a little more laid back in Iowa”, Christie said after his first event of the day on Saturday.
Both contests are critically important for the momentum they give – or deny – to candidates hoping to remain competitive later.
