Christie to Trump: You don’t get a do-over in Iowa
Republican Ted Cruz may have prevailed in Iowa despite the polls favouring Donald Trump but New Hampshire is quite a different challenge with a more moderate and less religious electorate than the evangelical Cruz would like. Ted Cruz of stealing Iowa in his caucus victory, and building his own conspiracy theory as to how that happened.
Trump complained about how the media has characterized the results of the Iowa caucuses, noting that Marco Rubio “came in third, and they’re saying he had this incredible evening”. Carson ended up finishing fourth in the Iowa caucus and called Cruz’s actions “shameless tactics and dirty political plays”.
Cruz apologised to Carson on Tuesday and said his team should have promoted Carson’s statement denying the rumours.
Taking a cynical view of Trump’s allegations, the Huffington Post’s Igor Bobic wrote, “Trump is a master at sucking the oxygen out of the race by drawing attention to himself with new controversies”.

Donald Trump, still fuming over his disappointing second-place finish in the Iowa caucuses, said Thursday that politicians are “full of s-t”.
He was referring to accusations from candidate Ben Carson that Cruz supporters falsely told caucus-goers the retired neurosurgeon was suspending his campaign, as well as a controversial Cruz mailer that accused Iowans of a “voting violation”. “And Rick, I think, has a message for them that is phenomenal”, he said.
But a Trump tweet on Wednesday accused the Cruz campaign of telling Iowa voters that Ben Carson was quitting the race so he could steal Carson votes.
“If New Hampshire voters fall for his seduction on February 9, they risk destroying their credibility as America’s presidential gatekeepers”.
The Tweet was just one of many Trump sent Wednesday that attack Cruz and question the outcome of the Iowa caucuses.
