Christie vs. Rubio heats up in GOP debate

I vetoed a statewide I.D. system for gun owners and I pardoned, six out-of-state folks who came through our state and were arrested for owning a gun legally in another state so they never have to face charges.

The other ad features a woman whose brother was killed in 2010 while working as a US border patrol agent in southern Arizona.

“After watching and listening to Judge Sotomayor’s performance at the confirmation hearings this week, I am confident that she is qualified for the position of Associate Justice for the U.S. Supreme Court”, Christie said in the statement. He was asked about hostage swaps and noted he didn’t want to comment on specifics about the recent incident, but that he would not be in favor of swapping hostages if he were elected president. And the gang that couldn’t shoot straight includes allies of Jeb Bush and John Kasich, along with Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. While Judge Sotomayor would not have been my choice, President Obama has used his opportunity to fill a seat on the Supreme Court by choosing a nominee who has more than proven her capability, competence and ability.

On “Morning Joe”, Christie denied he ever gave money to Planned Parenthood, which Republicans on Capitol Hill have been attempting to federally defund.

“I stood on the stage and watched Marco … rather indignantly, look at Governor Bush and say, ‘someone told you that because we’re running for the same office, that criticizing me will get you to that office, ‘” he said. “The damage that he has done to America is extraordinary”.

“These are completely disingenuous attacks by Rubio”, Christie’s Communications Director Samantha Smith.

He then shot at Rubio: “It appears that the same someone’s been whispering in ol’ Marco’s ear, too”.

“No, no, not as a private citizen, governor, or anything in between”, he said. Put another way, what has one guy got that is making him the chief target of so many others?

He also recounted to the crowd the story of his wife, Mary Pat, who worked in the NY headquarters of an investment group located in One World Trade Center. “When you’re governor, you’re held accountable for everything you do”.

Christie ended with some nice words for Rubio.
