Christmas tree shopping a Black Friday tradition for many Alabama families
On Tuesday, American Legion Riders helped load “Trees for Troops”, at the Prairie Trails Christmas Tree Farm near Maize.
The Christmas trees are wet out at Kelumac Christmas tree farm near Hearne, where people come to cut down their own trees each year.

Duncan Tree Farm has garland and wreaths as well as five different varieties of trees to choose from. The result is a $1 million dollar industry contributing to Iowa’s economy.
Hambrick’s Christmas Tree Farm has brought holiday cheer to South Georgia for over 60 years. He expected they would sell more than 150 trees on Black Friday alone.

Picking out a tree on the first weekend after Thanksgiving is also a tradition for many families.
The family was hunting for two trees this year, one small and one big.
