Claire Danes opens up about relationship with ex-lover Billy Crudup
The 36-year-old Homeland star, who’s now happily married to former Hannibal star Hugh Dancy, surprisingly opened up about the 2003 scandal on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show on Monday.
Claire Danes found criticism of her romance with Billy Crudup “scary”.
‘I was just in love with him and needed to explore that and I was 24…
Stern first asked Danes, now 36, whether the judgment from the public at the time was a terrifying experience.
“That was really hard”.
Billy left Mary-Louise when she was seven-months pregnant with their son William.
‘That was a scary thing, ‘ said Danes, who went on to Wednesday English actor Hugh Dancy. I didn’t quite know what those consequences would be….
While the “My So-Called Life” star did admit she was careless at the time, she’s moved past it all.
‘But it’s okay, I went through it, ‘ Claire said, adding that she’s still on good terms with the Eat Pray Love star.
In fact, they’re cool.
Parker is actually releasing her first book on November 1, titled Dear Mr. You, which will presumably shed a few light on the infamous love triangle. “We’re friendly, we’re friends”.
As far as her acting career is concerned, Claire Danes has not appeared on the big screen for a couple of years now, as she continues to focus all her efforts on her television work.
During her chat with Howard, Claire also revealed that she never had a relationship with her My So Called Life co-star Jared Leto due to their seven year age gap.
During her sit down with Stern, Danes also opened about turning down the role of Rose in “Titanic,” opposite of her “Romeo + Juliet” costar Leonardo DiCaprio.
For her part, however, Danes is finally at peace with the situation.
