Claudio Ranieri has a brilliant new anecdote about his Leicester players
Leicester City’s Luis Hernandez during the Leicester City Pre-Season tour of Austria at Stegersbach Training Facility on July 11th, 2016 in Stegersbach, Austria.
The Italian has been speaking about the arrival of Ahmed Musa – the club’s record signing at £18m – and what he can bring to the Premier League champions.
The legendary former goalkeeper, who spent eight years at Leicester before joining Stoke City in 1967, told the Daily Express: “If Ranieri buys a couple of players and plays the same way I think they’ll have a decent season”.
The Foxes have added five new players to their ranks as they bid to repeat the Premier League heroics of last season. “So hopefully they all fit together and start to impress”. “Remember, we are the RAF and we’ve signed one of them!”, Ranieri was quoted as saying.
“I’m not too sure how people will approach us [next season], we’ll have to see”.
Danny Drinkwater admits he must work hard on his fitness during pre-season after enjoying his summer break from football.
Drinkwater is fully aware that retaining the title will be an even tougher challenge with his team no longer a surprise package.
“I think before the season I will sign”.
