Claudio Ranieri has told Esteban Cambiasso he is wanted at Leicester

New manager Claudio Ranieri wants the real Leicester City to stand up in the coming Premier League season, he said on Monday in his first news conference since joining the club.

“I’ve had a conversation with him”.

“But now we need to know because we start the season soon and he is a team leader”.

Romeu made 27 appearances for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga last season, completing 83% of his passes.

Chief executive Susan Whelan refused to elaborate why Pearson was sacked last month – with the Foxes citing a breakdown in relationship with the board – but insisted it was for the good of the club.
