Clemson loses defensive returning starter Wiggins for season
Clemson said Wiggins suffered a torn ACL during practice on Wednesday morning.
Wiggins suffered the injury trying to recover a fumble during a scrimmage at Memorial Stadium, according to a release.
This is not the kind of Clemson football update any Tiger fan wants to hear, but we have gotten news that Korrin Wiggins is out for the season.
He had 40 tackles and two interceptions last year, emerging as a key player on the Tigers’ No. 1-rated defense.
Blanks was a second-team Freshman All-American two years ago and possesses the savvy and experience and necessary cross training to perform well wherever he’s needed most.

Clemson also announced all-ACC wide receiver Mike Williams pulled his hamstring and reserve offensive tackle Daniel Stone sprained his ankle during Wednesday’s scrimmage. Though he will miss the entire 2015 campaign, he will be able to return to Clemson in 2016 with two full years of eligibility remaining.
Swinney says he is grateful he spent time with his father this summer when Ervil came to live with the coach for a while starting in May.
