Clemson supplants Ohio State as No. 1 in coaches poll
The Tigers remained No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 released Sunday and climbed to the top spot in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Clemson also is ranked No. 1 by the College Football Playoff committee, which updates its ranking Tuesday night.

Clemson moved to 10-0 on the season with a 37-27 road win over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday.
The team is now 10-0, making this the best start in the program’s history.
The undefeated Clemson Tigers have jumped to the No. 1 spot in the Amway Coaches Poll. The only way anyone expected the Ohio State Buckeyes to get dropped from the top spot in any rankings would be from a loss. Oklahoma State rallied from 17 points down to win 35-31 at Iowa State on Saturday.
After their second loss in two weeks, the Memphis Tigers are no longer ranked in either the AP or Coaches poll. An interesting note is that Ohio State still received more first place votes than Clemson (32 to 28), but the Tigers still took the number one spot.
The Clemson football team is number one in the land in both the AP and Coaches Poll.
