Cleveland Browns NFL Draft Rumors: Browns ‘Strongly Considering’ Drafting Mitch Trubisky

The 2017 NFL Draft Combine is in full swing and will run through Monday, March 6.

He talked about how pleased he was that North Carolina prospect Mitch Trubisky measured in above his 6-2 threshold for quarterbacks. I only have 13 starts, but I’ve played in 30 games. “I understand the interest in that and I’ve seen all the headlines that have been written, but I wouldn’t comment on that”. “I’ve studied the game and I am a student of the game”.

“I think it has to be a little bit of a concern”, said Zierlein.

Trubisky expressed no preference about where he hopes to play. Not using the tag on Pryor makes sense on the cover as 1) the team has not used an exclusive tag on a player since kicker Phil Dawson, and 2) the tag would effectively make him the highest-paid receiver in the National Football League at $15.8 million-nearly a ten-fold increase from what he was paid last season ($1.67 million).

Brown and the Browns are listening to all offers for the No. 1 overall pick. If Jackson is focused on size and face-of-the-franchise ability, Trubisky might be the guy.

But if Trubisky is everything they’re looking for, when Brown and Jackson want different things, then their decision may be made. He has numerous other meetings scheduled. This was no doubt the work of his agent, who sees no good reason – and millions of bad ones – to take the current owners of the No. 1 overall pick out of the mix. There are definitely going to be areas where he has to grow at the next level, but Trubisky has the arm and athletic ability to be a starting quarterback in the National Football League, and the Browns need someone to be the savior of the franchise.

“Most importantly, obviously, is for the guy to have arm talent”, Jackson said. I think that’s really important. But since the Browns are still the Browns, there is a chance that they will select Allen over Garrett.

If Brown is focused on accuracy and ceiling, Trubisky might be the guy. McCown and Whitehurst have since been released from the team, and the Browns now host three quarterbacks on the roster.

“There’s going to be pressure pretty much everywhere you go”, he said, according to Ohio.com. “I feel like I can be that guy”.

Brown traded last year’s number two pick, used by Philadelphia for quarterback Carson Wentz, for future draft picks.

What isn’t debatable is Trubisky is clearly the most accurate of the three.
