Cleveland police to wear body cameras during GOP convention
Trump was supposedly lining up a celebrity-filled guest list for the July convention, with Bloomberg Politics reporting names like Mike Tyson, Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka, NASCAR chief Brian France and former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight.
After that report was published Tuesday, folks apparently were giddy at the possibility of Tyson speaking in front of GOP delegates and a national television audience. But, at the time of his sentencing, Trump said the controversial endorser was “railroaded” by the young woman.
“Trump has his opinions about people who aren’t welcome in our country so it’s his restaurants, Symon can say who’s welcome and who’s not”, McCracken said. Tyson ended up serving nearly three years of a six-year prison sentence.
Trump “is a master of free media, and part of what he’s going to do with the VP nomination is the free-media strategy”, Parker told Business Insider.
“There were four people whose job for a month was going around and painstakingly measuring every single sign in the building”, she said. “A thrust for power, a drive for power”. We need toughness now.
The amended rules announced Wednesday extend a designated parade route for protest marches, shrink the event zone where the rules would be enforced by roughly half and allow people who live within the zone, including the homeless, to carry banned items including bottles and cans.
Willette is also a member of the all-important rules committee for the National Republican Committee, and is one of the five-member team of Trump supporters that includes campaign attorney William McGinley. Or could Trump staffers excited about winning over the pro-rape demographic with a Mike Tyson endorsement have jumped the gun? He added, “I’m not the type of guy to give a big speech”.
Still, Ditka said that “If (Trump) asks me, I’d be happy to do it. I’ve said before that I like him”.
“Anybody that knows me knows I’m not afraid to speak my mind”, Symon replied.
The major challenge for these anti-Trump delegates won’t be convincing their fellow delegates to undermine the wills of voters in their states, but in convincing the Rules Committee to unbind the delegates to let them vote their consciences.
