Cleveland Police Union Head: Obama Has ‘Blood on His Hands’
One suspect is dead following the shooting deaths of three police officers in Baton Rouge.

While the scene of the shootings was contained, police warned residents to stay away from the area, near Airline Highway, which is a mile from the Baton Rouge police department headquarters, where dozens of protesters were arrested earlier in July.
The President said a fourth police officer in Baton Rouge remains in critical condition and that the killer’s motive was still unknown. Authorities initially believed that two other assailants might be at large, but hours later said the dead gunman was the only person who fired at the officers.
Following the shooting, the head of the Cleveland Police Union has called on the governor of OH to declare a state of emergency and suspend laws allowing people to openly carry firearms during the Republican convention.

President Barack Obama on Sunday condemned the killings and all attacks on law enforcement.
Steve Loomis also lashed out at Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton of Minnesota, who spoke out against police after a black motorist was killed in a police-involved incident on July 6.
Instead, Obama offered full-throated support for departments and officers, some of whom say they feel under siege.
The scene later shifted to the nearby B Quik gas station, which is located less than a mile from BRPD Headquarters.
President Obama issued a statement on the shooting: “I want to be clear: there is no justification for violence against law enforcement”.
A witness tells WAFB-TV (http://www.wafb.com/) that he saw a masked man in black shorts and shirt running from the scene where three Baton Rouge law enforcement officers were shot and killed.
Police told reporters authorities are seeking more than one suspect and said the public should be on the lookout for people dressed in black and carrying long guns.
“And, until we come together as a nation, as a people, to heal as a people, if we don’t do that and this madness continues, we will surely perish as a people”. He said he heard semi-automatic fire and perhaps a handgun.
A group of law enforcement officers was allegedly treated to a vile surprise when they made a decision to dine at a Baton Rouge, Louisiana Mexican restaurant on Saturday. A police officer with a long gun was blocking the parking lot at the emergency room.
Trump says in a statement posted on his Twitter and Facebook pages that “We grieve for the officers killed in Baton Rouge today”.
One of those killed was Alton Sterling, shot by a police officer in Baton Rouge two days before the Dallas attack. The races of the suspect or suspects and the officers were not immediately known. Police do not believe that the gunmen had any accomplice and does not believe that there are any other shooters on the loose.
Over the weekend, thousands of people took to the streets in Baton Rouge to condemn Sterling’s death, including hundreds of demonstrators who congregated outside the police station.
