Clinton and Trump campaign into the early hours of election day
Donald Trump will make his last campaign appearance in North Carolina on Monday afternoon with a rally in Raleigh, his last chance to make his case to voters in the crucial election day swing state.
After speaking to the crowd, Gaga performed “Come to Mama” – a track off her new album Joanne – then teamed up with Jon Bon Jovi to rock a cover of the star’s classic hit “Livin’ On a Prayer”.
Reflecting on his eight years in office, Obama said, “You bet on me all those years ago, and I’ll always be grateful for having had the opportunity to serve”. “And that’s just the beginning because we have to bridge the divides in our country”, Clinton said, adding “I regret deeply how angry the tone of the campaign became”, to which someone in the crowd yelled, “Not your fault!” “Tomorrow you can vote for a hopeful, inclusive, big-hearted America”.
Last night, as Lady Gaga performed live and made a speech in aid of Hillary Clinton, the internet went mental.
She hoped “sanity” will prevail among the voters and the United States will have a president who deserves to be in the White House.
Clinton left on one of her campaign slogans: “Love trumps hate”. Clearly, she was still on a high from the fantastic night she had speaking to her supporters, and we love seeing her do things like this that are so totally normal! Vote for the candidate that has the heart. “And there have been reporters and others going up and down the line asking people, all kinds of Americans, not one type, all types, ‘Why are you here?’ ‘Because my future depends on it, ‘ they say”.
The pop star took to the stage wearing a black military-style jacket adorned with a red band on her right sleeve.
At today’s rally in Philadelphia, Springsteen spoke some more about why he will vote for Clinton. “It is a choice between division and unity”, Hillary Clinton told the crowd of mostly college students. “And watching what [Trump] has done to us, I can promise that she will protect us, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well”.
