Clinton back on campaign trail after releasing health info
The race for the White House is rapidly tightening, with polls showing Republican nominee Donald Trump snapping at the heels of his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton amid concerns about the health of both candidates and calls for more transparency about their medical records.
A note from Clinton’s doctor, Lisa Bardack said the candidate has been recovering nicely and recommended to take an antibiotic for ten days.
Hillary Clinton said on Thursday that her three-day, doctor-mandated break gave her new perspective on why she is running to be president. Her illness became public after she left Sunday’s 9/11 memorial service in NY early and was seen on video staggering while getting into a van.
Bardack, the chair of internal medicine at CareMount Medical, further attributed Clinton’s Sunday stumble at the 9/11 Memorial event to the Democrat being overheated and dehydrated. “I examined her immediately upon her return home; she was re-hydrating and recovering nicely”. That information, however, has not been provided to reporters.Dr. Bardack also revealed she evaluated Clinton on September 2 for a fever, congestion and fatigue.”Over the next several days as she traveled, her congestion worsened and she developed a cough”. Bardack noted that Clinton “continues to improve”, as other health indicators of the former State Secretary are well within the normal range such as her heart rate, blood pressure, and cholesterol level.
The report also noted Clinton’s known intake of blood thinner Coumadin and thyroid medication. She later announced that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia days earlier.
One reporter said it appeared that Kaine didn’t appear to be aware of her illness on Friday, when she got the diagnosis. “She was a nervous mess”, Trump said.
Mr Trump, after releasing his health information, spent Thursday laying out plans to lower taxes by 4.4 trillion United States dollars over a decade and cut regulations, including some of those now meant to protect the food Americans eat and the air they breathe. With less than two months from Election Day, Clinton’s standing with Americans has contributed to a race that is tighter than both parties expected.
Clinton’s health was last detailed in a letter from Bardack released in July 2015. The letter did not state when she received those vaccines.
He also appeared on a United States medical chat show, which aired on Thursday, to discuss his health.
Trump, 70, would be the oldest president to take office, while Clinton, 68, would be the second oldest.
Hillary Clinton has returned refreshed to the presidential campaign trail, days after she was caught on camera staggering on a NY street amid a bout of pneumonia.
Clinton and Trump candidates have since released details of their personal health.
Clinton has been slipping in the polls since the pneumonia diagnosis, which her staff publicized on Sunday.
Her letter made no mention of her weight, a key part of a medical exam, nor did a similar letter released a year ago.
