Clinton having a quiet August, and for her, that’s just fine
Is Donald Trump Racist?
The campaign team of Hillary Clinton expressed their doubts over Trump’s sincerity.
Trump has relied heavily on the Republican National Committee for conventional campaign infrastructure.
For much of the past year, Trump has ignored the tools of modern-day presidential campaigns. But he’s running critically low on time to build an operation that can compete with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
In 2016, Clinton’s campaign, says Begala, has similarly tried to fill out her public image.
If Trump was to win all the remaining battleground states on the map, he’d still be shy of the 270 votes needed to win the White House which means he is going to have to pick off at least one of the states now leaning in Clinton’s direction in addition to running the table in those battlegrounds, he wrote.
Trump’s reshuffling also overshadowed fresh stories about Clinton’s use of a private email account and server as secretary of state.
The Republican National Committee also announced Saturday it had raised $199.5 million this election cycle, including $27.2 million in July.
“Now we see that he’s getting serious about attacking Hillary on TV, dropping $5 million on a recent ad that continues his shameful campaign of pitting Americans against each other”, Barasky added.
A Washington Post-ABC News poll released August 7 found Trump winning just 2 percent of the African-American vote.
This may help explain why Trump is lagging so badly in a state where many thought he would be competitive – nationally, he is trailing Hillary Clinton among college-educated whites by 14 percentage points. In interviews, almost one dozen Republican operatives said they had begun poll-testing the idea – which one labeled a “break glass in case of emergency” strategy – to gauge how the public would react to it.
Earlier in the week Trump appointed Steve Bannon, a right-wing news executive, as CEO and promoted pollster Kellyanne Conway to campaign manager, in what has signaled a marked new tone following colossal missteps.
Paul Manafort resigned as chairman of U.
The group has also put more than $35 million into digital advertising, a significant and growing amount of which is aimed at motivating Hispanic voters – a group that overwhelmingly opposes Trump. One was the war of words with the parents of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq.
Pierson went on to recall how Trump has long-claimed that Clinton doesn’t “have the strength or the stamina”, an allegation that Trump has never proven. “He’s the bulldozer candidate”.
The hashtag #WheresHillary began trending on Friday, questioning why Clinton wasn’t in Louisiana after the floods.
Marlon Marshall, Clinton’s director of state campaigns and political engagement, said African-Americans had everything to lose from Trump “who questions the citizenship of the first African-American president, courts white supremacists, and has been sued for housing discrimination against communities of color”.
New finance documents show the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign spent about $18.5 million in July. An NBC/Wall Street Journal survey showed it was far more popular than Clinton’s upbeat “Do not let anyone tell you that our country is weak” refrain. Within hours of his speech, she tweeted: “This is so ignorant it’s staggering”.
