Clinton, Kaine coming to Ohio after DNC
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton fist bumps Sen. “And folks, we don’t have to – because Hillary Clinton is the direct opposite of Donald Trump”, Kaine said with Clinton standing by his side. You couldn’t get closer to Goldman-Sachs if you were built-in furniture than Tim Kaine. Clinton’s campaign wants Democrats (who will form a large part of the television audience) to come away with new enthusiasm for their candidate and swing voters to see Clinton as far more ready than Trump, by experience and temperament, to be president.
“The reality is that she comes out of this nominating process with pretty high negatives and this is a chance for her to make her case in her own terms”, said Gain, who advises the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA.
Clinton, like Presidents Bush and Obama, wants immigration reform to protect American workers from uncontrolled immigration, while allowing undocumented immigrants already here – working for American businesses – to stay, become citizens and pay taxes like the rest of us.
“I’m thrilled to tell you this first: I’ve chosen Sen”.
Her answer? “Political opponents and conspiracy theorists have accused me of every crime in the book”, she said. These two like each other. The Virginia senator had been notably more centrist on issues like trade and energy, compared to Sanders or Warren, who was the most popular pick among Clinton supporters, polls showed.
Hacked emails threatened to overshadow the Democratic Party’s upcoming celebration in Philadelphia as progressives expressed disappointment Sunday over the presidential nomination process and Bernie Sanders stepped up demands that the party’s chairwoman step down.
Clinton’s campaign has embraced the historic nature of her candidacy, something she didn’t do during her failed 2008 presidential run.
His wife coaxed him to finish up and told the crowd, “I’ve got to get him to bed”. He has never lost an election.

Two days later, Kaine and his wife, Anne, joined Clinton in NY for lunch, along with Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, daughter Chelsea and Chelsea’s husband. And one of the most pointed questions asked was whether Kaine anxious he could be playing third fiddle in an Oval Office featuring a former president as the first gentleman.

Supporters said Kaine is motivated by deep convictions and his Roman Catholic faith.
Ed Aitken said he fought in Vietnam for the right to make his choice for president when he walks into the voting booth back home in Colorado.
Top Republicans were quick to criticize Clinton’s choice.
Like Trump, Clinton has her faithful followers.
Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton said in an interview broadcast Sunday that chants of “lock her up” at last week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland made her feel “very sad”, while also suggesting she faces more scrutiny than other politicians. The local Virginian-Pilot newspaper accordingly called Kaine “perhaps the region’s loudest voice in Washington calling for a coordinated attack backed by federal funding” on the sea level rise issue. “I know that it takes a little getting used to, even for me”.
“It’s not the Donald Trump sledgehammer”. And you’ll notice what isn’t on there: the idea that the running mate should help the candidate win.
