Clinton raises $37M, smashing 2015 goal
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton expressed outrage after an Orthodox-Jewish newspaper photo-shopped her out of a photo of top officials at the White House, the Associated Press reported on Thursday, citing newly released emails belonging to the former secretary of state.
It was “a new record for the best off-year fundraising of any non-incumbent in history”, the campaign said, and pointed out that heading into 2016, it has almost $38 million cash-on-hand. The fundraising for the DNC and state parties is aimed at helping Clinton in the general election should she win her party’s nomination.
In all, the Clinton campaign has raised $112 million for the primary since launching in April.
