Clinton says senator Elizabeth Warren qualified to be her Vice President
Merkley was the only Senator to endorse Vermont Sen. Elizabeth Warren was getting hammered on her own Facebook page by fans of Bernie Sanders as a “sell out” who is no longer to be trusted.
Hillary Clinton huddled with liberal icon Elizabeth Warren in Washington Friday morning, stoking already-burning speculation about the possibility of an all-female Democratic ticket – and one pulled markedly to the left. “I’m supporting Hillary Clinton because she’s a fighter, a fighter with guts”. “Anybody who thinks that whatever the next president – and God willing, in my view, it’ll be Secretary Clinton”, Vice President Joe Biden said.
“I am with her”.
Although, Sanders stopped short of endorsing Clinton, but he vowed to work with Clinton to defeat Trump. The Massachusetts senator had been the only holdout among the Senate’s Democratic women, and her endorsement sends a signal to Sanders’ progressive supporters that it’s time to unite around the party’s presumptive nominee. Some pundits speculated that Obama would have sought to convince Sanders to drop out of the race, so the Democratic party could rally around Clinton in preparation for a general election battle against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. Sanders, who continues to campaign for the Democratic nomination, became a proxy of sorts for the effort to draft Warren.
Hillary Clinton on Thursday welcomed President Barack Obama’s endorsement, telling Reuters in an interview that it “means the world” to her that her former rival has her back in the 2016 campaign.
I rarely agree with President Obama- however he is 100% correct about Crooked Hillary Clinton. With “Delete your account”, Clinton embraced the quick-witted dry humor of America’s millennials who had previously been struggling to connect with young voters.
The White House said Obama would campaign with Clinton for the first time during an appearance in Wisconsin on Wednesday.
Obama’s endorsement video concluded by turning to Sanders, discussing Sanders’ accomplishments in running a campaign many thought would be less competitive than it turned out.
