Clinton To Release More Details About Her Health
Hillary Clinton’s campaign says it will be releasing additional medical information about the Democratic presidential nominee in the next few days.
Hillary Clinton told her Twitter followers she is “feeling fine and getting better” on Monday as she fights off pneumonia.
But Trump on Monday wished Clinton a speedy recovery after a buckling-knees episode outside Sunday’s 9/11 ceremony.
He continued: “But in retrospect, I think we should have provided more information more quickly, but yes, I think regardless of whether the video surfaced or not, in the aftermath of that event yesterday, I think we would have made the same decision to have her rest these next couple days and to disclose that she had been diagnosed with the pneumonia on Friday”. Rarely, but on more than one occasion over the last many, many years these sort of things happen to her when she gets dehydrated.
Trump on Monday called Clinton’s remarks “the biggest mistake of the political season”.
Dr. Amesh Adalja, an infectious disease expert and senior associate at the UPMC Center for Health Security in Pittsburgh who is not treating Clinton, said recovery from pneumonia can vary from about a week to longer, depending on the severity.
Clinton said she was being “grossly generalistic”, adding that the other half of Trump’s supporters are frustrated and need sympathy.
He said Clinton’s rough weekend raises the stakes for the first presidential debate on September 26, which “will either finish Trump or, if he does well, it will create a race”.
Both candidates have so far released only limited health records.
Addressing almost 1,000 National Guard Association members at the organization’s 138th annual conference in Baltimore, Trump suggested that Clinton retract last Friday’s statements, describing them as an “attack on the American people”.
Asked if the health of the candidates was an issue, Mr Trump said: “I think it’s an issue”.
Pence told Baier that Trump had a physical on Friday, and he will release “all that information about his health and physical condition” soon. Several members of her staff also have reported illnesses in recent weeks.
But suddenly Clinton left, in a hurry. Clinton exited the building on her own, wearing sunglasses and carrying a handbag.
Titled “Deplorables”, the ad is running in four battleground states, New York Times reported.
Privately, some Republicans say Trump would likely be losing more convincingly to another Democratic nominee. She was then driven to her home in suburban Chappaqua, New York. Merrill later released a statement explaining that Clinton left an hour and 30 minutes into the ceremony to go rest up at her daughter Chelsea’s apartment in Manhattan.
After she arrived, however, “I could feel how hot and humid it was”, she said.
