Paul will miss six-to-eight weeks with a torn ligament in his thumb. I didn’t see [what happened].
Chris Paul #3 of the Los Angeles Clippers shoots a jumper over Pau Gasol #16 of the San Antonio Spurs during the second quarter of the game at Staples Center on December 22, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.
The banged-up Clippers tied a franchise record for their best start to a calendar year at 7-0. The team also said Paul will continue to undergo treatment and evaluation from the Clippers’ medical staff.
After smacking the back of his head on the hardwood in Sunday’s win over the Kings, Thunder big man, Steven Adams, will miss his second consecutive game with a concussion. “Hopefully, he’s going to be alright”. “I haven’t had the chance to text or call him, but it was a scary moment to see him go down”.
The ripples of Paul’s injury will be felt throughout the conference. He came back shortly after their current winning streak began.
Paul will undergo surgery on his non-shooting hand following Monday’s 120-98 National Basketball Association win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, after initial X-Rays showed no break.
While Paul should be back from his latest injury in plenty of time for the playoffs, it still could prove costly for the Clippers in terms of seeding.

Our second unit has been unbelievable”. “… If Chris is out, we’ve learned it’s how hard we play”.
Jordan sat out the fourth when Speights dunked and hit two 3-pointers.
It’s too small of a sample size to claim anything definitive, but it shows that the growth of Griffin as a focal point and a distributor can buoy the Clippers as opposed to applying a Band-Aid to a wound in need of sutures in years past.
