COAS chairs meeting on flood relief efforts
General Raheel said that Pakistan and China have the same enemy adding that in this hour of strife Pak-China friendship will thrive even more.
General Raheel Sharif said both countries had deep and resolute relations.
COAS Sharif has also stated that enmity with China will be considered enmity with Pakistan. “We will defeat nefarious designs of forces detrimental to us”. “All weather friendship is sweeter than honey, higher than Himalayas and deeper than oceans”. He said the two countries stand with each other in testing times their ties will further strengthen in future. “Our efforts are likely to squeeze the space for the States and Non State Actors who intend seeing a destabilized and inimical Afghanistan”, her resolved.
“I reiterate our firm resolve that any attempt to obstruct or impede this project will be thwarted at all costs”.
Addressing a ceremony here organized to commemorate the 88 anniversary of the foundation of Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the Army chief congratulated Chinese people and military and said that they have tendered supreme sacrifices in pursuing their dreams which is an example for the entire world.
He said, “The Pakistan Army and People Liberation Army (PLA) form edifice of our strategic relations”.
He said so while presiding over a meeting in Rawalpindi to review the army’s ongoing drive in flood affected areas.
According to a series of tweets by Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa, the army chief also announced that Pakistan Army will donate a day’s ration to the flood-hit people.
