Lockett established himself immediately, scoring a touchdown on his first National Football League punt return, at St. Louis in the season opener, and adding a touchdown on a kickoff return in his third game, at home against Chicago. Wilson competed eight of 12 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns, and he was selected the game’s offensive MVP. Just name a Pro Bowl team. Wilson exploded in his fourth season in the league, setting several career highs. He threw one interception, but gave up two interceptions, which was his biggest blemish of the night.

The rosters for the Pro Bowl have already been set and feature some of the top players in the game on both team Michael Irvin and team Jerry Rice.

Meanwhile, Manning started for Team Rice, and Seattle’s Russell Wilson opened under center for Team Irvin and was named Pro Bowl MVP.

Prior to the Pro Bowl game on Sunday, ESPN aired an inspiring feature of a football player’s journey from the projects of Miami to the NFL.

Wilson connected on another touchdown pass to Rams’ running back Todd Gurley, before Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr hit Kelce for his second touchdown for Team Rice.

Winston later hooked up with Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins for his second touchdown pass of his Pro Bowl debut. The Tampa Bay quarterback and first-time Pro Bowler wore a flower lei around his neck during Team Irvin’s morning practice session.

After an interception of Manning by Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee, Team Irvin took the lead on a 6-yard pass to Freeman.

Martin helped Team Rice cut the deficit to 28-21 in the third quarter with a 3-yard run early in the third quarter.

There were many highlights in this one, including star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. playing safety at one point-and getting credited with a tackle.

His touchdown toss to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was also a third-down play from 4 yards out as Team Rice claimed a 7-0 advantage.

It was a lighthearted, nearly leisurely affair, and even though the Pro Bowl returned to its traditional locale of Hawaii it provided a fitting lead-in to the hoopla of Super Bowl week.

Bridgewater, the second quarterback to appear for Team Irwin, tossed a pair of touchdown passes in the win.
