Cold weather, snow likely through weekend
Highs Sunday will range in the teens to mid-20s, with temperatures for Presidents’ Day expected to be in the mid-20s to mid-30s, the weather service says.
After near-normal temperatures on Friday, we will see cooler temperatures Saturday. The fog will give way to sunny skies and a high near 78.
Meanwhile around Ozark, expect a high today of 43 degrees and a low of 25, according to the Weather Service.
Saturday: Mostly clear with highs 82 to 87 and lows 46 to 56.
The combination of wind and cold will be absolutely punishing if you have to spend any extended amount of time outside Saturday.
The weather service says this will usher in the coldest local air mass of the winter – so far and likely for the rest of the season. West southwest winds up to 20 miles per hour will shift to the northwest in the afternoon. At night, skies become mostly cloudy with a balmy evening low around 52. The day’s high temperature is not to exceed 14 degrees.
