Coldplay announces that Tickets are utterly free for the concert in Mumbai
Starting Monday, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.in.
British rock band Coldplay is set to perform its first concert in India. Fans will earn these free tickets by taking part in campaigns to support education, equality and sanitation in India.
THE CAUSE: The Global Citizen India Festival has tied up with organisations such as the Global Education & Leadership Foundation, Google, Pratham Foundation, Oxfam India, India Sanitation Coalition, Magic Bus and Water Aid amongst others, to work towards social change.

Chris Martin, Coldplay’s frontman, began his 15-year tenure as the curator for the Global Citizen Festival in February 2015. The lineup includes Jay Z, AR Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjit Singh, Dia Mirza and Monali Thakur. Martin also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit here.
