Coldplay bike around Mexico City in A Head Full of Dreams video
Perennial hit-making band Coldplay released a new music video for “A Head Full of Dreams”, the earnest titular song on their latest (and last) album on Friday.
Alongside fellow single “Hymn For The Weekend”, Coldplay’s previous three videos from “A Head Full Of Dreams” have been viewed 955m times on YouTube. The band is nominated in three categories of the MTV VMAs, held on August 28.
The video for the title track of their current album sees the band cycling in Mexico City en route to their recent show at the city’s Foro Sol stadium.
It isn’t until over a minute into the video that Chris Martin and his cohort appear in the arty, vintage-style shots, cruising on bicycles through the Mexico City streets as the song (and life outlook) picks up. Eventually they ride onto the stage for a concert before thousands of screaming fans.
Coldplay are touring in the USA with a weekend show at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and another in Las Vegas on September 1.
