Coldplay sets US stadium concert tour

Coldplay is touring behind its latest album, A Head Full of Dreams, which dropped December 4, 2015.

British pop-rockers Coldplay will visit MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford July 16, as the first night of the band’s newly announced Head Full of Dreams tour. “They are a band that’s big on inclusion”, the show’s director Hamish Hamilton, who also helmed halftime shows for Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Madonna, and the Who, told EW in a recent interview about the show. It will begin July 16 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and conclude September 3 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, presumably minus any football teams as opening or closing acts.

Coldplay has a busy year ahead in 2016.

Petco Park will be occupied that week in August by a series of Padres/Diamondbacks baseball games.
