College Football Playoff Rankings Out
UF’s unlikely path to the final four depends on beating the Seminoles first, and then the Tide. The Mid-American Conference (home of the officiating crew) and the Big 12 Conference (home of the replay crew) later admitted that Central Michigan should have never been awarded the extra play. 1 and 4 teams or the Nos. The Tigers are likely just fine if they finish 12-1 with the ACC title.
In the latest CFP rankings released on Tuesday night, the Buffaloes moved up to No. 9, one spot up from a week ago.
On the strength of what was an all-time showing by Florida’s defense, the Gators have made a massive jump in the College Football Playoff Rankings. Lady luck is on Ohio State’s side slightly as it gets to play the biggest game of the season at home against rival MI who might be without their starting quarterback. The Badgers could have a good shot at reaching the CFP with two more wins.

Colorado and Oklahoma State complete the top 10. Committee chair Kirby Hocutt reaffirmed that a program that might not win its own division could still be in the mix for a playoff berth. Washington would likely stay ahead of OU with an in-state victory and a triumph in next week’s Pac-12 championship game. A ton of factors would have to work in its favor for it to even have a chance.
The Huskies claimed the position previously occupied by Louisville, which tumbled to No. 11 after losing by 26 points at Houston last week. Louisville 12. Southern California 13.
The Sooners and No. 12 USC have been two of the hottest teams in the country in recent weeks, as OU has won eight straight and the Trojans have won seven straight, but they remain on the outside looking in.
The information used to determine the projected Playoff top 25 are previous CFP rankings, the Cody Kellner Points Index Computer Ratings and conference affiliation. Clemson getting upset at the ACC title game or even against SC.
