College Moves To Fire Sandy Hook Truther For Allegedly Harassing Victim’s Family
James Tracy a Florida Atlantic University (FAU) professor is on his way out after the college took umbrage with the communications teacher who has raged a 3 year campaign against the parents of a Sandy Hook shooting victim, calling the massacre a hoax. The university informed James Tracy of their decision Wednesday. He has ten days to respond to the proposed termination, after which the University can move to fire him.
Last week, the parents of of one child, Lenny and Veronique Pozner, wrote an opinion piece in the Sun-Sentinel which began, “It’s been three years since we last embraced our precious little boy, Noah”.
“FAU has a civic responsibility to ensure that it does not contribute to the ongoing persecution of the countless Americans who’ve lost their loved ones to high-profile acts of violence”, they wrote.
“Once Tracy realized we would not respond”, they continued in the editorial, “he subjected us to ridicule and contempt on his blog, boasting to his readers that the “unfulfilled request” was “noteworthy” because we had used copyright claims to “thwart continued research of the Sandy Hook massacre event”.
Since then, Tracy, who couldn’t be reached for comment, claimed that nearly every mass shooting in the United States has been a hoax, including ones at the Boston Marathon, the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., and the recent shooting in San Bernadino, Calif.
“In accordance with university practice regarding personnel issues, the university will make no further comment for the time being”, the university said in a statement.
The Pozners also said that Tracy sent them a letter demanding proof that their son Noah once lived, and that they were his parents and the rightful owner of his photo. He also doesn’t believe the Sandy Hook massacre actually happened as it was described – a position he has persistently argued for years on his blog, in articles and interviews, and in his contribution to the not very creatively titled book Nobody Actually Died at Sandy Hook.
“We found this so outrageous and unsettling that we filed a police report for harassment”, they wrote.
“Veronique and I are relieved that truth and honor prevailed”, Lenny Pozner said in a statement, according to the newspaper.
