Colorado Springs police credit stuffed “Minion” with cushioning 5-year-old’s 3
Colorado Springs police are crediting a “teddy bear” with cushioning a 5-year-old girl’s fall from a third-story apartment window on Thursday night.
She was taken to the hospital to be treated for her broken arm but has already been released.
Colorado Springs Police Lieutenant Catherine Buckley said it is the fifth incident since May of a child falling from an open window in the state’s second-largest city. As such, toys related to the film characters have been very popular recently.
The toy, it turns out, was a stuffed Minion. McDonald’s featured the incoherent yellow creatures as part of their Happy Meals, as is common for new movies aimed at kids.
EVERYWHERE. There was even talk of Minion tampons at one stage. Though she ultimately broke her arm, she held on to the Minion as she fell.
If you didn’t already love Minions (you did, though, right?) this story will make it impossible NOT to love them. It is a prequel to the 2010 smash hit “Despicable Me”.
